*ADO-ODO/OTA LG's HOLGA,DR BAMGBOSE BOWS OUT OF ACTIVE SERVICE*
The Head Of Local Government Administration in Ado-odo/Ota Local Government, Dr. Adebola Olayiwola Bamgbose FCPA, has retired from the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission after 32years of dedicated active service.
The Pen down ceremony of Dr Adebola Bamgbose who also doubles as the President Ogun State Body of Heads of Local Government Administration HOLGA's took place at Ado Odo Ota Local Government secretariat where he officially completed his final assignment by signing the handover notes and presented them to the Director of General Services and Administration Prince Oloruntoba Solomon Dada FCIA FCPA in the presence of the Ogun State Hon. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Chief Sesan Fagbayi, former Head of service in the State Mrs Amope sokor, heads of departments and staffers of the council before proceeding to Chief Nasiru Deinde Memorial event hall of the council for the retirement and birthday reception party.
In his remarks Chief Sesan Fagbayi expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Adebola Bamgbose's dedication to the State Local Government Service commission adding that his unwavering committment to excellence has in no doubt impacted positively Local Government Administration in particular and the state in general.
His expertise, work ethics, and collaborative spirit have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and the Commission values his contributions.
The celebrant and his lovely wife Assistant Pastor Mrs Olayinka Bamgbose led colleagues, friends and family, to the reception where they were wowed by the presence of Olu of Lisa kingdom from Ifo Local Government area Oba Nojeemdeen Odugbemi (Odu 1) and Olota of Ota HRM Oba Prof. Abdul Kabir Obalanlege Lanlege Ekun II who graced the event in company of other Obas from the local government areas and the the Otun Iyalode of Oke Ona Egba kingdom Chief Mrs Irene Afolashade Kokumo.
Throughout his illustrious career Dr. Bamgbose has made significant contributions to the Primary Healthcare system. He commenced his service as Medical Officer with Ogun State Local Government Service Commission in January, 1992 having previously worked as Medical Officer in the private sector.
Over the years he assumed various roles including Primary Healthcare Coordinator, Public Health Consultant, and rose to the position of Chief Consultant GL. 17 in 2008. He was also appointed as Head of Local Government Administration in 2016, a role he dutifully performed across several Local Government with his current position being in Ado Odo Ota Local Government.
Under his leadership, Ado Odo Ota was awarded the Local Government of the year in the year 2023 by the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission.
With an impressive career spanning over 32 years in civil service, Dr. Adebola Bamgbose has become a highly skilled and respected physician and administrator. His patients hold him in high regard and his commitment to building meaningful relationships extend to mentoring numerous medical professionals and administrators who excel in their respective fields.
Dr. Bamgbose's dedication to the field of public administration is underscored by his recognition as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration of Nigeria. He was the President of the body of HOLGA's (Head of Local Government Administration) of Ogun State the position he maintained till retirement.
Dr Adebola Olayiwola Bamgbose's retirement and birthday celebration marked the end of an era, but his legacy will inspire future generations. His dedication to public service will be sorely missed, but his impact will be felt for years.
Among dignitaries present were the immediate past Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo Ota local government Engr. Sheriff Adewale Musa FCPA, the Otun Iyalode of Oke Ona Egba kingdom, and a retired Permanent Secretary in the local government service, Chief Mrs Irene Afolashade Kokumo, Egba Forum.
The event was characterized with tributes,gift presentations, and best wishes.
