OTA PARAPO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PARTNERS GOVERNMENTS TO ENHANCE BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY

In a bid to ease the course of doing business in Ogun State, the Ota Parapo Chamber Of Commerce,Industry , Mines and Agriculture ( OPCCIMA) has partnered  Ogun State Government to address the various challenges confronting business globally in view of the prevalence of natural disasters, climate change and social economic and political problems confronting almost all countries in the world.

The  President,Ota Parapo Chamber Of Commerce, Industry, Mines  and Agriculture, Dr. Kayode Bowale, FCA made this declaration during the Press Conference hosted by the agency to herald the formal Inauguration of the Chamber with the theme 'Enhancing Business Sustainability In a Turbulent Environment', at the Chamber's Secretariat in Ota market.

Dr. Bowale said the purpose is to promote Economic and Commercial activities within Ota and surrounding Communities adding that the boarder closure by the Federal Government is to protect the Local Manufacturers and  promote the  Industrial growth, also taking cognizance of the rate of criminality along the Boarder.

He said Government should endeavor to go extra miles in subsidising some goods to make cost of living comfortable for the people, saying it's expedient to work with relevant Agencies of Government and Community Leaders in the area of Policy Formulation through Advocacy efforts.


According to him "government should give more roles to the Chamber of Commerce in the Policy Formulation and implementation, Government should also partner in making use of Educational Institutions' research outputs in promoting Innovations and in improving  quality of locally produced products.


He enjoined the Government for her pragmatic approach to put an end to the security challenges bedeviling the country adding that Government should provide conducive atmosphere of sincerity and transparency in the operations of Government and Policy implementation  of the leaders.
