s. Sola Arobieke, Special Adviser to the Governor and Deputy Director General of the Ogun State Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency (OgunInvest), emphasized the critical role grassroots politicians play in realizing Governor Dapo Abiodun’s developmental goals and vision for Ogun State.


Speaking during an appreciation visit by the newly emerged APC councilors representing the 15 wards in Odogbolu Local Government at her agency office in Isheri, she urged them to secure victory in the upcoming local government elections, highlighting that their performance at the grassroots would not only determine their individual success but also serve as a vital step toward advancing the Governor’s broader plans for inclusive growth and sustainable development across Ogun State.


Arobieke urged them to support one another, emphasizing the importance of looking ahead and preparing for the upcoming elections. She encouraged them to study the experiences of those who have come before them and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, she stressed the need for collaboration and partnership to overcome challenges, wishing them success in the upcoming elections.


“Your strength lies in unity; by working collaboratively and drawing lessons from the experiences of those who have come before you, you can effectively navigate the challenges that lie ahead. Together, you have the power to achieve the success that Ogun State truly deserves,” she stated.


In his remarks, Hon. Ekitunde Oluwadamilola, representing Adefisan Ward 11, emphasized that this partnership has been fruitful. He noted that the Governor's dedication to grassroots development has led to tangible benefits for the community, including improved infrastructure and support for local initiatives. The people are already reaping the rewards of their collaborative efforts.


Appreciating the Special Adviser, Mrs. Osunsanya Idowu, representing Omu Ward 14, commended her for actively championing inclusivity within the party, ensuring that women, youths, and elders are all well represented.


On his part, Hon. Oyetunji Taofeek, representing Odogbolu II Ward 5, highlighted her active presence in the local government, stating that she is a true politician who believes in grassroots politics. He noted that her work and activities within the local government and the various wards are quite enviable and serve as a model for all to emulate.
