OGSG TO EMBARK ON REHABILITATION OF SCHOOLS
In furtherance to the commitment of Ogun state government towards providing conducive and attractive learning environment for learners, a major rehabilitation work will soon commence in Schools across the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.
Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu revealed this, during an inspection visit to Akin Ogunpola Model College, Akinale, Papalanto High School and Methodist Comprehensive High School, all in Ewekoro Local Government Area.
Prof. Arigbabu, said the inspection was to access schools that were in need of state intervention for reconstruction, rehabilitation, supply of furniture, perimeter fencing, security among others, hinting that ministry had began supply of furniture and other amenities to schools in the state.
The Commissioner, who noted that the developmental process was being monitored to ensure continuity and quality work delivery, reiterated the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration's determination to providing qualitative and accessible education, charging learners to be well-behaved, law abiding and adhere strictly to instructions of the school authorities during the rehabilitation process.
Speaking on behalf of other learners, the Head Prefect of Akin-Ogunpola Model College, Emmanuel Ogugua, appreciated government for its laudable policies and programmes in transforming education sector of the state.
