 A New Era Unfolds: Alhaji Wasiu Lawal FCA Takes the Reins as Ado Odo Ota Chairman










The people of Ado Odo Ota Local Government are witnessing a new dawn, as Alhaji Wasiu Lawal FCA has taken the helm as their newly elected Chairman.

 This significant milestone was marked by a swearing-in ceremony, held at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Kuto, Abeokuta, and attended by the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON.

Alhaji Wasiu Lawal FCA's journey to this position began with his tenure as Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ado Odo Ota Local Government, a role he held for 18 months, from January 17, 2020, to July 27, 2021. His dedication and leadership qualities have earned him the trust and support of the people.

In his inaugural address, Chairman Lawal pledged to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people, focusing on:

- *Infrastructural Developments*: Improving roads, healthcare facilities, and education infrastructure.
- *Economic Empowerment*: Creating job opportunities and supporting local businesses.
- *Youth and Women Development*: Providing training programs and empowerment initiatives for youth and women.


Lawal emphasized the importance of collaboration, stating that "every department is crucial and none is less than the other" expressing gratitude to the Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Wasiu Junaid FCA, for his role in maintaining stability during the transition period.

The Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Ado Odo Ota branch Chairman, Mr Moshood Ayoyemi, congratulated Lawal on his victory, thanking him for his commitment to the welfare of Local Government workers. The Union pledged its cooperation in achieving the administration's goals.

As Alhaji Wasiu Lawal FCA begins his tenure, the people of Ado Odo Ota Local Government look forward to a brighter future, marked by progress, development, and prosperity assuring staff of a robust  welfare package.
