Ogun Deputy Governor Commissions A Block Of Six Classrooms at St. Peter's Anglican School
The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, has commissioned a block of six classrooms, completed with 120 furniture sets and school startup kits at St. Peter's Anglican School,Agoro Town, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area.
Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele ably represented by her Senior Special Assistant, Hon. Kolawole Salako, expressed her satisfaction and gratitude to the donors assuring them of her readiness to support at all times.
She commended the doggedness of Build-A-School Initiative for Africa (BASIA) in partnership with Co-Africa and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as well the community leaders for their total supports during the execution of the project, which was completed in just three months.
According to her, "this is not the first time, BASIA has undertaken such a project in Ogun State, previously completed projects at the St. Peter's College Classroom Restoration Project in Abeokuta".
Speaking, the Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota LG, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu while congratulating the Baale of Agoro over the project, promised to support the development of Agoro Town.
He commended 'BASIA' for partnering with the government saying this would provide an enabling environment for smooth teaching/ learning process in the local government.
The LG boss urged the school management to take the maintenance of the facilities seriously in order to achieve the desired objectives.
Responding, the school's head teacher, Mrs. Fagbenro Funmilayo, thanked the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele and the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Lawal Wasiu, for accepting the zoning of the project recognizing the unwavering supports of the Baale, High Chief Dayo Oduntan, and his chiefs for their relentlessly throughout the execution of the project.
Appreciating the donors, High Chief Dayo Oduntan acknowledged the contributions of the Governments and prominent individuals, including Mr. Solaja, to the development of education and other projects in the community.
