CHAIRMAN,WASIU LAWAL EMBRACES INTERFAITH UNITY FOR PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE_
The Executive Chairman, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal, has emphasized the importance of fostering unity among the religious sector, describing it as a crucial element for peaceful coexistence among residents.
The Local Government Boss, Alhaji Wasiu Lawal made this statement during a courtesy visit by the Muslim community of Ado Odo Ota to his office at the Council Secretariat in Ota.
He said the visit came at a time when the nation needs prayers to actualize the present administration's policies, highlighted the need for religious tolerance to accelerate development in the society.
Chief Imam Alhaji Nurudeen Ogungbayi, who led the delegation, praised Lawal's commitment to religious activities despite his busy schedule. Ogungbayi emphasized that prayer should be the foundation of any successful government and encouraged residents to cooperate, be law-abiding, and prayerful.
The Chief Imam emphasized that the visit underscores the importance of interfaith dialogue and cooperation in promoting peaceful coexistence and development in the community, fostering unity among the religious sector.
He said he is optimistic that Lawal aims to create an harmonious environment that benefits all residents of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
