 DESIST FROM BAD COMPANIES -COMM.CHARGES STUDENTS

The Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, has charged learners to desist from bad companies to achieve their desired academic aspirations.


Prof. Arigbabu made this known during the monitoring of 2024/2025 Second Term Academic Resumption in Ijebu-Ode, Sagamu, Odogbolu, Abeokuta North, Yewa South, Yewa North and Ifo Local Government Areas, noting that nothing truncates good dreams than associating with people of bad influence, enjoining learners to lay the foundation of the new term on hard work and determination to succeed.

The Commissioner expressed satisfaction to the conduct of the school management and staff, in preparing the learners for the new academic challenges, maintaining that the greatest aspirations of learners should be how to get their potentials achieved.

"With determination, dedication and devotion to your books, high standards can be achieved", Arigbabu noted

While appreciating the Old Students Associations for their developmental contributions in schools, emphasised the importance of welcome test to learners, as it would prepare them for the academic task ahead.

 In their remarks, the Principals of Adeola Odutola College, (Senior), Mr. Adeniyi Adekoya; Christ Church Secondary School, (Senior), Ijebu-Ode, Mr. Kayode Osoba and Ososa Comprehensive High School, Ososa-Ijebu, Mrs. Titilayo Osisanwo, noted that extra-curricular activities have also been put in place to get students attracted to real academic activities.

Also, the Principals Sagamu High School, Sagamu, Mr. Joseph Osiba, Agbele Community High School, Sagamu, Mrs. Taiwo Dairo, ascribed the success of their resumption activities to the dedication of their teachers and support of government, promising to deliver quality standards in the new academic term.

Other schools visited include, St. Peter's College, Olomore, African Church Grammar School, Ita-Eko, Gateway Secondary School, Ita-Iyalode, all in Abeokuta and Makun High School, Sagamu, Eyinni Comprehensive High School, Iboro; Yewa College, Ilaro; Oluaso High School, Imasayi and Community High School, Akute.
