 ONANUGA'S DEATH IS AS A COLOSSAL LOSS TO NIGERIA - ABIODUN

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the death of the Deputy Chief Whip of the Federal House of Representative as a colossal loss to the country.


Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga represented Sagamu, Ikenne and Remo North Federal Constituencies at the Federal House of Representatives.

Abiodun disclosed this, during a visit to the Onanuga’s residence in Sagamu, describing the late politician as a loyal, dependable, reliable and consistent person, promising that his government would continue to support and stand by the family.

“The sudden death of Hon. Onanuga is a big loss to the State and country at large. She was the Deputy Chief Whip, who contributed her quota at the National Assembly by sponsoring bills. She was very intelligent, articulate, eloquent, bold and audacious. Onanuga was also very loyal, dependable, consistent, reliable and extremely hardworking, she had impacted so many lives through her empowerment programmes across her constituency. We have lost a gem, not just in Sagamu or Remo but in Ogun State and the country at large", he said.

Responding, Dr. John Okoh, who spoke on behalf of the family, appreciated the Governor for standing by the family during the sad moment, assuring that the family would continue uphold and live up to her legacies.
