"Ado-Odo/Ota Local Govt. Pledges Support for Artisans' Growth"
The Ado-Odo/Ota Local Council Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu, has reaffirmed his commitment towards creating an enabling environment for Artisans to grow and attain prosperity in the Local Government.
The Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Wasiu, made this known, during a visit by the delegation of Artisans, led by the Chairman Mr. Okedeyi Olayiwola, at the Local Government Secretariat in Ota, saying, Artisans play a vital role in the economic development of any thriving community.
Hon. Wasiu assured Artisans of their inclusiveness in the government’s programmes, adding that the Governor Dapo Abiodun, would continue to engage local artisans in community projects.
Earlier, the Chairman, Artisan Association, Mr. Okedeyi said it was imperative for them to partner with the government in various programmes, training and in other social engagement at the local council.
Reacting, Head of Local Government Administration, Alhaji Junaid Wasiu, emphasised the importance of timely payment of levies and reporting of any revenue-related illegalities, while enjoining the Association to always comply with government regulations while carrying out their operations. He said the Local Government would not relent in its partnership towards fostering socio- economic activities in the area.
