The Executive Chairman, Hon. Lawal Wasiu, ongoing facelifting efforts in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area have received accolades from a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon.Kazeem Salako, describing the initiative as a testament to the government's commitment to responsible and responsive governance


Hon. Olakunle Salako made this commendation during the inspection of the on-going project in the local government Secretariat in Ota.


The former Rep. member noted that the facelifting efforts have exceeded the expectations of the people, demonstrating the government's commitment to accountability, transparency, and public engagement.


 He advised the executive chairman to focus on infrastructural development and lighting in Ado-Odo/Ota, particularly in commercial areas, to drive economic growth and boost socio-economic activities in the area.


Hon. Salako emphasized the importance of boosting internally generated revenue (IGR) to fund projects, which could generate up to 50% of the necessary funds highlighting the potential for economic growth through infrastructure development and lighting in commercial areas, citing Lagos as an example of successful economic development driven by infrastructural improvements.


Hon. Salako's commendation underscores the importance of effective governance and infrastructure development in driving economic growth and improving the quality of life for residents saying as the Local Government continues to prioritize these areas, it is poised for significant progress and development.
